The team behind Gala Bingo’s “Look Up” ad campaign, which sees five pals set off on a hunt to spot hot air balloons, has come up with another eye-catching set of adverts for the award-winning online bingo brand. This time, the ads are shorter as they’re broadcast at the beginning and end of breaks between the popular TV show, The Chase.
The Answer is Bingo advert cast
“The Answer is Bingo” is the name that’s been given to the 60+ new idents which have just started airing on ITV.
Rather than being full-length ads, idents (which is short for identifiers) are designed to run for between 10 and 30 seconds and are used to brand/advertise a specific channel, network or company using the channel/network/company name and logo.
What’s so clever about Gala Bingo’s new idents is that they’re filmed to look like the real The Chase quiz show.
They begin with the camera focusing on three of the Chasers (“The Beast” a.k.a. Mark Labett, “The Governess” a.k.a. Anne Hegerty, and “The Dark Destroyer” a.k.a Shaun Wallace) who are sat behind a panel with their buzzers at the ready. Next, we see the host ask the contestants to answer a series of questions such as “In police slang, what’s the rear seat in a PSU carrier called?” and “This town in south-eastern Burkina Faso shares its name with what game?”. Each time, the contestants look stumped for several seconds before proudly offering the answer, “bingo!”

London-based Neverland Creative has previously worked on ad campaigns with Gala Bingo, and one of its aims is to “bring bingo back with a bounce of fun to Britain”.
The ad agency, which has previously been voted Start-Up Agency of the Year, has worked with several other big-name brands including Ladbrokes, Unilever, Tetley, GiffGaff, and NBC.

This is the most annoying series of ads I have ever been subjected to. Gala Bingo must be suckers to think this is remotely a good campaign. If it’s correct they have contributed the money to charity then that’s great. But please stop punishing us every night of the Chase

Still think the whole team on the bingo ad's during the Chase are delightful to watch. Their expressions, delivery and interaction make me smile. There are some awful ads being aired at the mo. You can't please all the people all the time. Each to their own. My opinion is i love the bingo ad all the panel etc especially the dog.
