Its new ad series, ‘Legends of Play since back in the day’ kicks off with Henry VIII celebrating a big win on his jewel-encrusted (mobile!) phone in a grand banquet hall. Anne Boleyn makes a frowning cameo as Knappett says “‘Let the good times roll (it’s normally heads that roll round here)”.

This is evident in the recent extension of Mecca Bingo’s partnership with Carers Trust until 2027. Over the last 10 years, Rank has helped over 14k carers through grants for respite breaks and household items like whitegoods. Rank has raised funds, contributing more than £323,000 just this past year. £4,000 was raised by two Rank runners running in the London Marathon, and 20 colleagues raised over £32,000 by climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon.
